Revolutionary Smart Ring Falls Short: A Comprehensive Review of Evie’s Woman-Centric Health Tracker
Evie Ring: One Minute Review
The Evie smart ring, a woman-first health tracking device, hit the market with a splash in 2023, promising period tracking, symptom journaling, and a pulse oximeter approved by US regulators, all wrapped up in a stylish, open-ring design that accommodates the varied finger sizes of women. But how does it fare against the best smart rings of 2024, particularly the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring 4?
What we like
The Evie Ring is relatively affordable, with no additional subscription fee, making it an accessible option for those seeking general health and wellness monitoring features. The ring is well-designed, with a compact and lightweight titanium construction and a range of stylish colors to choose from. PPG, accelerometer, and skin temperature sensors ensure thorough health monitoring.
What we don’t like
Unfortunately, the Evie Ring falls short compared to its competitors. Period tracking and symptom journaling capabilities are limited, with features like ovulation tracking and blood temperature sensing now present in other smart rings. The battery life of approximately 4 days also disappoints, especially given that some competitors offer significantly longer battery life.

How I tested
For this review, I wore the Evie Ring for two months, draining the battery completely multiple times, testing recharging times, and using the ring to track my menstrual cycles. I also compared health metrics to an Apple Watch 5 and used various app features, including journaling and goal-setting.
