Fast-forward to the present, and the new miniplayer in YouTube TV is a more comprehensive and user-friendly experience. Play/pause is now flanked by 15-second rewind and skip buttons, with "close" nestled in the corner. Tapping the center button expands the player to fill the screen.

Pinch to Zoom and Full-Screen

But that’s not all – the new miniplayer also allows for pinch-to-zoom functionality, letting you expand the player to span the full width of your screen.
