Spider-Man 4: The Wait is Almost Over!
Get ready, Marvel fans! Your favorite web-slinging superhero is set to swing back into theaters in 2026. Spider-Man 4, the highly anticipated sequel to 2021’s No Way Home, is expected to start production mid-2025, with a release date of July 24, 2026. And, even better, it’ll be followed by Avengers: Doomsday on May 1, 2026, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic Doctor Doom!
Why the Wait?
"Next summer we start shooting. Everything’s good to go, We’re nearly there," Tom Holland recently confirmed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "Super exciting. I can’t wait!"
A Collaborative Effort
Spider-Man 4 will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously brought us Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Holland also confirmed that the script is currently in the hands of the creative team, which includes writers and describes it as "excellent." He’s been working closely with them, and he’s very excited about the direction the story is taking. "I’ve been speaking to [Robert Downey Jr.] a lot, especially about him making his [Marvel] return, which is super exciting… We have a creative and we have a pitch and a draft, which is excellent. It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job."
