Remember when we were all excited about the highly-anticipated game, The Day Before, only to have the developers, Fntastic, abandon it and start promising a new game? Yeah, that was a wild ride. But, you know what they say: "watching grifters flail" is always entertaining!
Fast-forward to today, and we’ve got another exciting update for you! It seems Fntastic’s previous game, Escape Factory, a Fall Guys-esque game, has bombed miserably on Kickstarter. Who’s shocked? Not us. And, guess what? The developers are moving on to a new game! Drumroll, please… Introducing ITEMS, a new action-horror prop hunt game!

So, what’s the lowdown on ITEMS? Well, for starters, the game’s website is… well, let’s just say it’s a placeholder. There’s a "Press Kit" that’s just a downloadable logo. Oh, and a picture of two rendered models. That’s it! But don’t worry, the developers promise a fully playable demo will be available soon. Or maybe not. We’ll see.
The game’s letter to the world
"We have decided that our Escape Factory project has not generated enough interest," the letter reads. "We are happy to announce the start of development on a new action-horror prop hunt game called ITEMS! This is exactly what many of you have been waiting for! Once we have a fully playable demo, we may launch a new Kickstarter campaign or explore other options for release. It’s important to us that our players get the chance to play and test the game in advance."
