Unlock Simplified Trading with Gemini’s Revolutionary ‘Ask Gemini’ Feature
Simplifying Gemini with "Ask" Prompt
As we reported earlier this month, Google has been working to refine the Gemini experience. Today, the search giant is taking another step towards simplicity with the introduction of "Ask Gemini" or "Ask Gemini Advanced" prompts in the full Gemini text field on both desktop and mobile.
Smoother User Experience
On Android, the previous "Type, talk, or share a photo to Gemini Advanced" prompt has been condensed to "Type, take, or share…" Now, with the microphone and camera buttons right there, the extra text is no longer necessary. However, there’s an inconsistency – the Gemini overlay panel still says "Ask Gemini" even for advanced subscribers.
Aligning with Social Media
Meanwhile, on social media, Google has a "Chat with Gemini" hashtag, which may be a good opportunity to consolidate this to the new "Ask" format. This could help streamline the user experience across platforms and provide a more consistent message.

In other Gemini developments, Google has promoted the app to the main grid on support.google.com, pushing "Pixel Phone" down and removing Google Shopping, which recently received an AI-powered redesign. This move highlights the search giant’s efforts to simplify its consumer apps and services.
