Unveiling the Future of Affordability: iPhone SE 4 Design Leaks Emerge
The iPhone SE 4: What We Know So Far
It’s nothing short of an unofficial consensus that the iPhone SE 4 will hit the market early in 2025, and a newly leaked image of a case for the device gives us a glimpse into the design choices we can expect to see. The image, courtesy of well-established tipster @SonnyDickson, doesn’t necessarily shout out any drastic changes from the iPhone SE 3, with a similar-sized rear camera bump in the same position.
The iPhone SE 3’s familiar design elements are also still in place, with cut-outs for the mute switch and charging port at the bottom, and raised areas for the volume and power buttons. However, there have been rumors of a departure from Touch ID and the home button, with Face ID taking center stage – if these leaks are accurate, the iPhone SE 4 might mirror the iPhone 14 design-wise.
More iPhone SE 4 Rumors
Another rumored design tweak that this case leak doesn’t confirm or contradict is an increase in screen size – the iPhone SE 4 display might be growing to 6.1 inches, adding the iconic notch up top. While this would mark a departure from the current 4.7-inch model, fans of smaller phones might find themselves with fewer options to choose from.
As the case might not be drastically different from those for the current model, minus the size – and potentially aside from the iPhone 14-esque design – this leak adds more evidence that a refresh for the iPhone SE might be on the horizon. The iPhone SE 3 launched in March, so the iPhone SE 4 could follow suit.
We’ve also heard that the next iPhone SE might incorporate an A18 chip, similar to those found in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Rumors are also suggesting notable camera upgrades, a 5G modem designed in-house by Apple (which could mean faster speeds on cellular networks), and even support for Apple Intelligence with 8GB of RAM.
With a potential launch price of $429 / £419 / AU$719, it’s hoped that Apple will be able to deliver a powerful upgrade without pushing the price tag too high. While we wait for an official confirmation from Apple, one thing’s clear – the iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to be a highly anticipated device.
