Bremont Takes Its Dive Watches to New Depths with the Supermarine Full Ceramic

And while Bremont’s recent rebranding caused controversy among watch enthusiasts, its latest dive watch is bound to dispel any doubts about the brand’s commitment to producing top-tier tool watches.
The Supermarine, But Make It More Super
The new release is the Supermarine Full Ceramic, which marks a first for Bremont – a watch with a fully ceramic case. This lightweight material is renowned for its extreme hardness and near-invincibility to scratches. Its use here makes this new diver the toughest Bremont has ever created.
A Breakthrough in Ceramic Case Production
Bremont sheds light on the production process of the ceramic cases, and it’s some impressive stuff. Ceramic powder is added to a mold that’s 23% bigger than the watch’s 43mm case size. After undergoing a high-heat and high-pressure sintering process at 2,640°F, the ceramic in the mold shrinks by exactly 23%, resulting in an accurately sized case.
A Match Made in Heaven
Complementing the nearly unscratchable case are more hard-wearing and lightweight components. The crown, engraved screw-down caseback, and knurled bezel are made of PVD-treated titanium, and the bezel features a ceramic insert to match the case with its markings in relief.
