Timon and Pumbaa Join Disney Dreamlight Valley in Free Jungle Getaway Update

Get ready to swing into action with Timon and Pumbaa, the lovable duo from Disney’s The Lion King, as they make their debut in Disney Dreamlight Valley next Wednesday, October 9th. The Jungle Getaway Update, which has just been detailed in a developer video, brings a plethora of new content to the game.

New Realm, New Adventures

The Lion King Realm, first introduced when Simba and Nala joined the village life sim in April, is getting a major overhaul. This time around, the realm is explorable during the day, and players will join Timon and Pumbaa on a “relaxing jungle retreat” where they’ll “learn valuable lessons in the art forms of rest and relaxation.” Once the adventure is complete, Timon and Pumbaa will become available in the main world, complete with their own Friendship quests and rewards.

New Star Path and Quality of Life Updates

The Jungle Getaway Update also introduces a new battle-pass-like system called the Night Show Star Path, which features a music festival and rock concert-inspired theme. This new path includes “rebellious clothing and hairstyles” inspired by Disney villains, Disney princesses, and rock music, as well as new unlockable elements and furniture to create your own concert stage.

Additionally, the update includes a selection of quality of life improvements, such as tweaks to Scrooge McDuck’s in-game store, new Edit Mode control schemes, and the ability to add crafting recipes and duties to the onscreen quest tracker.
