Rare 426-Mile Ford Crown Victoria to Go Under the Hammer: Texas Treasure for Sale

The 2006 Ford Crown Victoria: A Time Capsule of the Past

The Ford Crown Victoria is a peculiar classic car. Its ubiquity lends it widespread appreciation, yet it’s also been treated as disposable. As a result, few great examples of this workhorse sedan are left, making it highly coveted among Panther platform-philes. One low-mileage 2006 Ford Crown Victoria survivor, which has been kept preserved and registered through 2015, is set to hit the market. Who knows, maybe it’ll even set a record on Bring A Trailer.

The story of this ’06 Crown Vic begins with its original purchase in Louisiana. After a replacement battery in 2008, its next recorded service was in June 2015 at a Lincoln dealership in Texas, where the odometer read 426 miles. Since then, it hasn’t been driven much – perhaps at all.

Recently, Kevin Landon shared photos of the dealership-fresh car on Facebook, detailing how his aunt had owned it since new. A longtime Ford fan, she started out driving Broncos and later migrated to the Explorer before settling on the Crown Vic. When Landon’s aunt passed away, the car went untouched in the garage.

With its low mileage, console shifter, and body-color grille, this 2006 Ford Crown Victoria has many enthusiasts excited. As one commenter pointed out, its rarity extends to the LX Sport trim and its overall condition. Its owner, Kevin Landon, initially said the car wasn’t for sale, but has since updated his post to suggest it’s on the market.

This Ford Crown Victoria survivor has all the makings of a time capsule: an unblemished interior, pristine exterior, and fewer than 500 miles since its last recorded service in 2015. What’s more, it seems to have been stored with the utmost care, kept registered and maintained like it was still on the road.

For those Panther fans eager to own a piece of history, this Crown Victoria might be the once-in-a-lifetime find they’ve been searching for.

Key Features:

Stay tuned for updates on the sale of this unique classic Ford Crown Victoria.
