Introducing the OnePlus Ace 5 Series: Revolutionary Cameras, Monster Batteries and Game-Changing Performance
OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro: A Major Upgrade with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 4
The anticipation is building for the upcoming OnePlus 13, set to arrive alongside the announcement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. But, it seems like OnePlus isn’t stopping there. Rumors are circulating about the impending launch of the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in China, and these phones are expected to be a significant step up from their predecessors.
Camera Capabilities Take Center Stage
One of the most notable upgrades is the camera department, where both phones will feature a 50 MP sensor with a 1/1.56″ size, part of the IMX9 lineup by Sony. The Ace 5 Pro, in particular, will boast a telephoto shooter with a periscope lens, a first for an Ace series phone.
Display and Performance
The duo will sport the new X2 OLED screen by BOE, also expected to debut on the OnePlus 13. This flat-panel display will boast a 1.5K resolution (approximately 1260p) and no curved sides.
Chipset and Battery Life
While the phones may share some similarities, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will differ significantly in terms of their chipsets. The Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Ace 5 Pro will run on the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Glacier Battery Technology
Both phones are expected to benefit from OnePlus’ new battery technology, developed jointly with CATL. Dubbed Glacier Battery, this innovation allows for extremely thin batteries with increased capacity. As a result, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will feature 6,000 mAh batteries with 100W wired charging capabilities.
