It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since Relic Entertainment released the original Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and 20 years since the sequel, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. To celebrate these milestones, the classic real-time strategy games have been re-released as anniversary editions, packed with all the DLC and extras from over the years.

What’s Included in the Anniversary Editions?

The new anniversary editions include:

• 80% off – just $7 and $10 respectively

No Word on Upgrades for Non-Steam Owners

So far, the two games have been released on Steam, but there’s no word on whether or not people who own them via other platforms like GOG will receive an upgrade. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Sega will honor an upgrade for older copies of the game, even if they’re still collectible and playable.

A Free Upgrade for Existing Owners

However, in a statement announcing the change, it was confirmed that the anniversary editions will be a free upgrade for all existing owners of Dawn of War 1 and Dawn of War 2.
