Unleash the Thrill of Electrification: 912-hp Audi RS e-Tron GT Performance sedan Unveiled

The Audi RS E-Tron GT Performance: A Powerhouse Like No Other

Audi’s portfolio of high-performance models includes the rally-winning Quattro and the V10-powered R8, but the new RS E-Tron GT Performance takes the crown as the most powerful Audi ever built. With an impressive 912 horsepower available, this electric sedan outshines its predecessors with its sheer power and torque.

A Peek Under the Hood

The RS E-Tron GT Performance starts with the same platform as the Porsche Taycan. To achieve its 912-horsepower figure, engineers updated the front axle’s electric motor and added a new, lighter electric motor to the rear axle. This impressive amount of power is only available for a short time when using the launch control function, which is perfect for performance enthusiasts. Other improvements to the E-Tron include a new battery chemistry for the 105-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack’s cells and a revised cooling system to help manage the heat.

A Sleek and Powerful Exterior

While the changes under the hood are dramatic, the Performance retains its understated styling, veering away from ostentatious add-ons like large spoilers. The Carbon Camouflage trim is optional and trim-specific, distinguishing it from the RS E-Tron GT. You can also spot the special Bedford Green paint, exclusive to this model, alongside multi-spoke 20-inch wheels.

The Sound of Speed

Unlike most electric vehicles, the RS E-Tron GT Performance lets you customize your listening experience. The car produces an artificial sound using 32 different sources, combining real recordings and synthesized audio. This “sound track” adapts to parameters like speed and accelerator position, mimicking the feeling of an internal-combustion engine. As an added bonus, the sound can be turned off.

Coming to a Dealership Near You

The 2025 Audi RS E-Tron GT Performance is available now, priced at 160,500 euros (approximately $178,500 USD) in Germany. Pricing for the American market hasn’t been announced, but we can confirm that the car will make its way to the US. For reference, the standard E-Tron GT starts at $106,500, excluding available incentives.
