Boost Pacific Drive’s Survival with Customizable Difficulty
Pacific Drive: Drive Your Way Update Revamps Survival Game with Custom Difficulty Settings
If you found Pacific Drive’s unique blend of survival mechanics and crazy gameplay a bit too exhausting when it launched earlier this year, now’s the perfect time to jump back in. The latest “Drive Your Way” update introduces a wealth of new features, including custom difficulty settings and presets that make the game more accessible – or more punishing, if you prefer.
New Presets and Customization Options
The update introduces seven presets, each with its own twist on the Pacific Drive experience. You can choose from settings that make the game easier, like Joyride, which reduces gathering and crafting requirements, to those that make it much, much harder, like Nuclear Journey, which smears everything in lethal radiation.
- Joyride: Retains the standard Pacific Drive experience but reduces gathering, crafting, and research requirements.
- Nuclear Journey: Makes everything much more challenging, with lethal radiation everywhere.
- Iron Wagon: Deletes your save if you fail, so you’ll need to be extra careful.
Create Your Own Presets
But that’s not all – the update also allows you to create your own custom presets, with over 50 granular settings available. You can tweak everything from resource gathering to enemy difficulty using the value sliders in the new preset creator.
Other Update Highlights
Alongside the new difficulty settings, the update also brings a host of other new features to Pacific Drive. You can now play custom music from local storage on PC, paint bumpers and wheels, and collect two new cosmetic items – an antenna topper and mirror hanger – in the Olympic Exclusion Zone.
Looking Ahead to the Future
The “Drive Your Way” update is the second of three planned updates for 2024, with another set to arrive this “winter”. While details are scarce, Ironwood Studios has promised that the update will bring even more exciting new content to the game.
