Tecno Phantom V Flip2 Review: Experience the Future of Foldable Phones
Tecno Phantom V Flip2: A Foldable Revolution with AI-Powered Features
Tecno has recently announced the Phantom V Flip2 and V Fold2, two foldable smartphones that are making waves in the tech world. What sets the Flip2 apart from its rivals is its aggressive pricing, starting at just $699. But it’s not just about being affordable – this device has a lot to offer, including a new cover display, software features, and more.
Design and Display
The Flip2 has a new cover display that’s almost square, measuring 3.64 inches. This design change has resulted in a phone that’s slightly narrower and shorter than its predecessor. The inner panel remains the same, but the trimmed bezels make a big difference.
The phone’s thickness has increased, but the change is so minimal that you won’t even notice it.
AI-Powered Features
Tecno has introduced a Gemini-powered voice assistant that comes pre-installed on the V Flip2. This chatbot brings real-time search results and improves general usability. With the new cover screen, you can run full apps, including keyboard support, which could be a game-changer for flip foldables.
We’ll have to dive deeper into the feature to determine its real-world practicality.
Battery Life
The Flip2’s battery capacity has increased by nearly 20% to 4,720 mAh. The charging rate has also improved to 70W, and the company claims it can fill the whole battery in 43 minutes (or 50% in 15 minutes).
While the battery capacity is slightly lower than the Honor Magic V Flip, the Tecno device is available in different markets, making direct comparison irrelevant.
Camera
The Flip2 boasts a new dual 50 MP camera setup and a 32 MP selfie shooter with PDAF on the inner screen. We’ll be exploring these features in more detail during our review process. Stay tuned for that!
