iPhone 15 Pro Discontinued: Upgrade to iPhone 16 with Enhanced Apple Intelligence Features
Discontinued iPhones: What This Means for Apple Intelligence Users
If you’ve been holding out for the iPhone 16 announcement to decide between the latest iPhones and last year’s best iPhone, the iPhone 15 Pro, you might be out of luck. Apple has discontinued the iPhone 15 Pro and its bigger sibling, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which means you won’t be able to buy them from Apple anymore.
What This Means for Apple Intelligence Users
Apple’s suite of AI tools, known as Apple Intelligence, was only available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max until this week. With these models now discontinued, new buyers will only be able to use Apple Intelligence on the latest iPhones, specifically the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While this might not come as a shock, considering Apple discontinues its Pro model iPhones every year, it does limit options for users who want to access the latest AI features.
Still Hope for iPhone 15 Pro Owners
Don’t worry, though! You can still find iPhone 15 Pro models at carriers, although offers might not last long. In terms of Apple Intelligence capabilities, you’ll get the same features as the iPhone 16, minus one exclusive feature – Visual Intelligence, which is activated from the new Camera Control side button on the iPhone 16.
