Can Dewpider Evolve into a Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go?
Dewpider, the water bubble Pokémon from Alola, can be found in the wild in Pokémon Go. And, yes, it’s totally possible to stumble upon a shiny Dewpider!
As for its evolution, Araquanid doesn’t see much action in PvP or PvE battles, but if you’re into water spiders, it’s a pretty cool shiny.
So, what’s the deal with shiny rates for Dewpider in Pokémon Go? According to some old research by The Silph Road ( archived on the Wayback Machine), the shiny rate for Pokémon on a regular day is roughly one in 500. Unfortunately, Dewpider isn’t one of those Pokémon that gets a “permaboost” (a rare spawn with a boosted shiny rate).
Want to increase your chances of catching shiny Pokémon? Sorry, it’s largely down to chance. The shiny Pokémon catch rate is set by Niantic, and it’s usually only boosted during special events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. There aren’t any consumable items that can give you an edge.
If you’re looking for a list of available shiny Pokémon, well… that’s a tough one.
