However, Amazon’s still selling them for the old price of £59.99, and ShopTo’s got them for a slightly better deal at £59.85.

It’s not surprising to see this trend, considering the PS5 recently got its second price increase in Japan, and it’s not the only product with a price hike – just look at Sonos and Meta Quest. The pandemic’s had a huge impact on supply lines, which is why we’re seeing prices go up instead of down.

The timing of this increase is particularly interesting, as Sony’s set to reveal more about the PS5 Pro tomorrow, which is likely to be a more expensive console.
